And So It Begins - 12 for 25+ on Bluefin 150 to 300 Pounds - 1 Spot Open Tuesday

And So It Begins for Us. After two months of upgrades on both our boats and some general winter maintenance - Capts. Mark DeBlasio, Deane Lambros and Joe Miele - along with William Howell and Matt Smith in the pits left Pirate's Cove this morning for our first bluefin trip of the season.

They arrived on the grounds around 8am and be 11 am already had fought a dozen fish on each boat and each boat had a nice 72" Bluefin in the box. By Noon the boys on the 48 Viking asked for a break and we didn't put the lines back out for a while and as soon as they were ready they were hooked up again.

From the sounds of it over the SAT phone (and Capt. Mark will provide pictures and better commentary when he gets back to the dock) the anglers were hooked up the basicially the entire time.

The fish were from 72" to 78" with the biggest of these right around 300 pounds. According to Mark our Penn Torque TRQ40 reels were beasts on the fish.

We are completely booked up for the rest of the month on both boats but as luck would have it had 1 guy drop out on Tuesday on our 48 Viking. As such, if you can make it please call me at 732-272-4445. Cost is $299.
