Snuck in

Weather threatened to slame the door on our island crossing so we ducked out Friday to Bimini. Bumpy wet crossing but not horrendous. Spent an hour or so there yesterday dialing in some new lure designs. Takin notes and adjusting positions. Got a lot done in short time.
Deep deckhand arrived at noon and by 2:45 we were steaming up the pocket with plastic in tow. No time for real fishing as such. Just straight up the edge. Small billfish tore the skirts off a lure and that was all for the ride in... At least we're here and wait the week for the boss...

I'm curious to hear how you make out with the yellowfin grouper, are you going to head towards Walker's ???

Nah we won't be going up that way. Strictly Chub and strictly billfish this year... Will be testing lures and weights and designs for a few days before adding meat and actually fishing it... We came in front of the boss to duck the weather.
