    Slow Bahamas Fishing

Well we just wrapped up a 4 day trip with slow action . No real reason for the sporadic action we have had most of the season either. Usually on slow days we could always find some dolphin action but even they have been tough to come by this year. On Friday we had great action catching yellowfin to 60 lbs. and dolphin to 35 lbs. We also saw our first blue marlin of the season hitting a cedar plug , which we pulled off shortly after. We expected the same action the following day but struggled to even get bites. The positive to having slow trolling action in the Bahamas is we can always count on excellent bottom fishing for grouper and snapper. We also have been doing a fair amount of diving for lobster on our slower days. Back at it again Friday and expecting the fishing to pick up a bit.

No clue Joe. You're guess is as good as mine at this point. With all the stuff he has going on I would not doubt a few suites in AC for a long night sometime in June before the season starts. Def not Costa Rica or Vegas unfortunately....He's got that thing thats about to pop out of his missus called a little girl ....he doesn't realize all the rules change at that point . Oh boy...is he in for culture shock !!! If you are state side I'll def keep you posted. Who knows it could even turn into a long weekend at Seacrets !

Just keep after em Joe. The bites will come. Certainly better than PA or NJ this time of year.

Agreed! The bonefishing has been outstanding, but we went out to Diana bank this morning on a nice tide and nada...save some skippies. We saw a few schools of dolphin busting flying fish up on the bank, but they were not interested. We were however treated to a show of Bottle Nosed Dolphins catching porcupines and throwing them into the air to each other!
