Spent the week in Florida, ducked the bad weather that plagued N.J. First stop was Key West , where I fished with Capt. Mike Weinhofer. Mike runs a 36' Invincible Center Console with twin Suzukis. I wasn't familiar with the boat but after one trip it was my new best friend. Bottom line it was a very stable rocket sled, easy riding wide open, no rocking when drifting or trolling. We caught a bunchof Mahi, kept some and released some. Capt. Mike is a pro staffer for several companies and I would highly reccomend him if you want to fish out of Key West. Next stop was Jupiter, where I drift fished for a couple of days on various boats. Mutton snapper, yellowtail snapper and Kingfish were all doing their thing, and light wire circle hooks and braid proved to be their undoing!! No releases here! Sorry folks, had a bunch of friends who wanted fresh fillets. Now back to charter time, New Jersey style.
