NJ Slammer Blues off of Cape May....

Where should I go to catch some of them big ol' bluefish. I remember as a kid trolling around with my fathers friend and catching nice sized blues.

Kind of a boating novice but picking things up quickly since the addition of a nice GPS unit. Under 20 miles out would be the best situation for me.

Get out there and chum em up. PRobably could get them at the East Lump not too far from cape may. Or try trolling, instead of slammer blues you might find yourself tied into a nice mahi, wahoo, tuna, or even a marlin. ITs not that far out so i am told.

When I fished out of Cape May, we would troll all around five fathom light and five fathom bank- if I remember correctly, it is approx. 15-16 miles offshore.
We trolled them top and bottom. Hoochies on top and #5 clark spoons on the downriggers.
