Nope, not me. That is the Skirt Chaser out of Oregon Inlet and they had a great tournament. I broke a transmission (again) on the first day and was fortunate enough to have a couple of great guys as dock neighbors let me run their 41 Viking for our three days. All we could manage was 1 white marlin. Not so sure about the fish raising abilities of the old Viking. When we were in areas with a lot of boats and I know some bills were being caught we never even saw one behind the boat. The one day we were all alone south of the Norfolk we raised a blue and two whites and caught the one white. I was really looking forward to fishing this in my boat as the boat has been fishing so well and raising fish. I think ZF has figured out my gear problem and I hope to be running again by the weekend.

Damn boats (and docks ). Thx God I never had to do gears when I had my big boat cuz I know them is expensive, just like everything else on the POS's. Hey, at least you had a backup and got to fish.

My goal is to come up there and fish that one day. Or at least come up there and go fun fishing, both inshore and off. We used to run that channel in the fog and dark, before there were electronics. Go from one bouy to the next on a hand drawn map with compass headings.

Have you fished out of there for long? 25 years ago we relied on Capt. Joe for mud minnows. Is he still around.
