We used to fish with him all the time when he ran the old Billfisher out of OC. He is one of the best... if not the best billfish captains around...
You can for sure learn a ton from him...

    Scott's the man!

When I was a tadpole, my family went to Hawk's Cay on vacation and I would watch Scott come in each day when they were running the Huntress and Huntress II operation. This guy lit a fire in me that propelled me into the business right out of high school.

I had the distinct pleasure of fishing with him and learning the Keys fishery from him several times while I was running a couple private boats out of Hawks Cay many years later. Scott would let me ride along on his charters and in the mornings (pre charter) to show me where he nabs all his pilchards, not to mention many, many other things he graciously shared to a complete outsider. I was always greatful for the help and guidance he never minded sharing. Just a great, hard working guy who is one of the best fisherman I've EVER met. Thanks Scotty!

I have had the pleasure & priveledge to fish with many of the best: Wink, Bart, etc. and Scott ranks right up there with the best of them. My last trip with him, the family & I stayed at Hawks Cay for a "non fishing" family vacation ( according to my wife, who despises anything to do with fish/water/boats). Somehow, he had a free day AND SO DID WE. Sails were scarce, but the BIG Mahi were plentiful. Scott & the Mate cleaned them up & we all went to the adjacent restaraunt for dinner, where the chef prepared said Mahi four different ways. The H U G E platter was enough to share a bit with everyone in the dining room - and many drinks were offered in return! One of our most memorable trips, ever. Thank you ,Captain Scott.
Sincerely, The Reed Family (Dana, Marisa, Elisabeth, Austin & Jack)
