Good time for sure..winds were stiff with SW 20 - 25 on Friday and NE 15 - 20 on Saturday..lots of big fish caught again this year with MAX King taking the tournament with 137 pounds of fish...we tried the eel thing today but didn't have great results...we boated 1 35 pounder early on the eels and then the dog fish ate everything we had. went on the troll around all the eelers and boated another 35 pounder on the umbrella rig...great ride home...great party last night as always...the food was fantastic...
big shocking announcement made by Mike Standing....for some reason they have decided to make it a trolling only tournament...no drifting eels next year which will definately change things up....Now I'm not a big eeler so this doesn't upset me too much but I heard lots of rumblings last night from alot of people....
anyways.....another great tourney put on by Mike Standing...good money paid out...great food and a pretty good band last night....The Orange Crushes rocked as always......Bob

Thanks for the report bodu11. Sounds like it might be time to expand the tourney to two catagories, live bait and lure catagories. Who knows. IMO it would be better kept as a real "open" tourney.
Two categories would not be that bad... but so many start with eels then switch to trolling. No matter what they decide it will still be a great tournament. Maybe next year I will fish more than one day, so I do not subject myself to such tough fishing conditions... not a fish for our group yesterday - did not even mark much.
Again, good tournament with a lot of good fishermen (and women).
