My buddie is considering shipping this Southport 28cc to Stuart FL for the winter. What do you all think this should this run him in cost from OC to Stuart one way? He does NOT have his own trailer...
Anyone have any reccomendations.

I brought a boat down from Allentown,Pennsylvania to Florida on a flatbead truck. I got the best deal from a new boat dealer who had his own rig that he sent to Florida to pick up boats at the factory. Since his truck comes down empty and goes back full he gave me a great deal. PM me and I will give you the dealers name.

I used Uship.com twice to haul my 32. Got pro results and it was a bargain. You place the ad and shippers will bid against each other for the work. You select the company that best meets your requirements. WOrked great for me. Good luck
Thanks for the info guys...
Anyone else?

i just paid 1500 for my 28 intrepid. palm beach to stone harbor nj.
ship to shoreline. they preped the boat well and were very timely.
do not use u-ship. from what i hear you do not know who the shipper will be...and possible no insurance and and you know....
I just used Marine Solutions (952-808-1492) a few months ago to haul a 30' Albemarle from Venice, LA to VA Beach. These guys were first class all the way. Not the cheapest I found but I would rather intrust a 100K + boat with someone who hauls boats for a living and carries all the proper permits and insurance. Just my 2 cents... Good Luck...
I used U-Ship and you have to pay attention to insurance, licensing, reading the feedback, etc. With that said I found someone who did a great job for me, stayed in constant contact when moving the boat and was flexible when my dates changed. It cost me $1200 to haul my 32' boat from Tampa to Manteo, NC on my trailer. Some of that went to U Ship so it would be less now that I can work with him direct. PM me if you want his information.
