Anyone with any idea of how i can git hold of the user manual in English for Shimano denduo 3000H...darn thing i have is in Jap..
I hear that its a damn good reel ..any help,pls?
I've just been thru' a triple bypass....yup...ticker gone bad ....not giving up thogh ...hence the need for an electric reel!!

Email/Call Shimano and I am sure they will send you one......for the amount of money you paid for that reel I don't think they will mind sending you a few extra pieces of paper...

You won't get any help if you contact Shimano because...

The Dendoh reels are made by Daiwa. Also, Dendoh refers to Daiwa's entire line of "power assist reels"; you will need to ask for the English version instructions for the specific 3000H reel you have.

The reel comes with a cd in the box. On it they have the manuals for all the Dendoh reels in English they are in pdf format. All you have to do is print the one you have.

The sad thing about Shimano USA is that they seem to forget what they preach(good fishing and all!!)...and claim that they don't have the reel in USA and so unable to get the manual.....but queston is why can't they just get a .pdf copy from Australia ....!!!

Lawaia.......As to the Daiwa setup.......definetly not the same stuff....this is the Tankenmaru 3000H and 4000HP manual...definitely not a Daiwa make!

As far as the CD ..not for this model!All that it has is a warrranty card ,cable and user manual in Japanese.

cincailoh2525 - My apologies for mistaking your original post to refer to the Daiwa Dendoh reels. Had never heard of Shimano making electric reels and now, after doing a little research, see the reason I'd never heard of them is that they're only sold in Australia (leastwise outside of Japan).

Can't say I really blame Shimano USA for not having the documentation for a product they don't sell but seems like it would've been easy enough for them to get an electronic file from Shimano headquarters for you. Nevertheless, think you're doing the right thing by requesting a manual from Shimano Down Under. Since they sell the reels, they ought to have the manual and the Aussies always seem very friendly and helpful.

Did u buy it off ebay per chance? I'm looking at one as well and was leary cuz all that avail are from Japan. If u did what's up with this import tax? Thanks
