congrats on the shark....nothing like fresh mako steaks. Do you recall the water temp you fished in? Any bluefish or just sharks? Nice work John!

Tom, glad to have you on board and thanks for all the help in the pit.

As for the specifics, we started out at the jackspot to make some bait. Made short work of the bluefish and thought about staying there for all of 2 seconds. . . but the masses started to show up and we high tailed it out of there and headed towards the pimple. Water temps at the jackspot were b/t 62.1 and 62.9.

As we made our way SE, I marked some bait just south of the pimple so I pulled back and started our drift. One thing about a flat calm day is that it sucks for sharkin and it was tough to get a good drift. I thought it would take us over the pimple but turned us SW of there and thats the direction we went for the next for hours at .7kts. Water temps there were b/t 63.5 and 64.6.

It was like an aquarrium out there. . . life everywhere, even when we had an asshole troll right up our slick to about 50 yards off my last ballon. . . dont get me started on that one. . . lol

Ill have pics up here shortly.

Thanks again to my crew for a really fun day!!
