Sharkin question

This may be a stupid question but it is something that we always talk about but never have gotten an official answer.

So when you are sharkin and nature calls, the head isn't used, do you think pissing in the water effects fishing? I know sharks have a keen sense of smell. Does the urine in the water effect anything????

So does everyone just go in the water or bottle it???

I read in a study once that urine is a greater attactor to sharks than is blood. Never really cared one way or another. I piss over the side, and it sure doesnt scare off the sharks we catch, but I have no idea as to if Makos are affected. I seriously doubt it though.

Dont give sharks that much credit. They are just dumb critters with bad @$$ abilities to reak hell. When you hear people saying this shark is smart or whatever, its likely that its just not hungry at this time. Kinda like a cobia. When they turn their nose up at everything, its sure as hell not cuz its smart. You feel natures call, then water the ocean. Sharks wont care, and according to one study I read, it will likely attract them.

Mammal blood is smelled by them but not recognized as a real food source. Urine however does have the potential to arouse curiosity if nothing else. No it won't scare em and most likely it will slightly encourage them. We have the second largest urinal in the world running from Nova Scotia to Argentina... Take full advantage of it. I've whizzed and caught so it must work...

I don't think it makes a difference. However I've seen people piss on bluesharks and they didn't like it much.
