The teeth are far larger and tighter spacing than the bronze whaler... I catch them a lot at my in laws in South Africa.

Looking through the first set of pics and blowing them up. I see more serration on the edges than originally did. I'm gonna retract the blue leaning and go back toward bull. The base of the pin teeth is a bit broader and it doesn't appear that the multi row at same time is as pronounced as I originally thought.

To think that my dad spent $50,000 so I could go to U of Miami and learn about shark jaws...

I can tell you that the top teeth are highly serrated.

We saw the stripes too on the first shot and thought it might be a tiger but couldn't that also be the way the light is coming through the water?

Best Catch: This girl who shoots the monkeys off my back.

I'm just glad I didn't go with my first opinion that it was an insomniac nurse shark and leap in to annoy it.

The shark was caught in the late 1970's off Manzanillo Mexico (thats on the Pacific a few hours south of San Diego).

Went that discussion earlier, bronze whaler/ copper have a larger seperation between the teeth and a slightly more pronounced outward curve. Believe with that serration so evident its a bull. Also the size is more characteristic of a bull. Coppers are smaller in general. The set you show appears to be from a specimen in the 150KG/ 330 lb area...

LaGringa
Stripe kinda shows same place in longer shot.
The upper shot also on closer examination shows pretty clearly what appears to be the left "corner" of the telltale squared off nose... Also being twelve foot that would fall in line with tiger size. Bulls seldom exceed 9 or 10...
Like I said. Next time hold Gringo by his feet over the bow and get me a clear facial so I don't have to squint so hard...
