    Shark Report OC 6/8

Shark fished the 30 lumps inside the washington today. Water was clean green 69 degrees.

caught an 80 or so mako in the first 20 minutes, let him go.

Had a strong bite about a half hour later. Turned out to be a 500 or better tiger. Took a little less than an hour to get him up for pics and release. while we were fighting him he through up huge chunks of what i am thinking was whale meat. My mate said the chunks smelled bad as they floated up, and they left a heck of a slick.

last bite for the day was a 200 pound class tiger that we released.

did not find the mako we wanted today, but it was a nice day on the water.

Luke Blume of Press Time fame worked the pit for me today, and I can't find enough good things to say about his skills. Enjoyed my day a bunch, and got to see a big slob tiger up close and personal.

Thanks for the report Franky, sounds like the water is warming up pretty quickly. If you're ever bored on a Saturday and wanna catch a free ride let me know. I'll make sure my mother stays at home

Pretty work Franky! I'll keep that 500 lb + tiger in my head for the next time I have to take a swim! FYI - Bog has made a written request for a tuna this weekend. Might be time for the first blue slam of 2010...

lance, thanks for the invite, and please bring Mom along, after you settle on the boat she stopped calling me for some reason, and i kind of miss her

did not see any tunas anywhere, but the 30 looked fishy. I did pull plugs at 9 knots for a little while on my way down there.
