Hey guys, when useing the rig pictured below what should i use for the loop to loop point from the mono to leader? Bimini Twist? Spider hitch? Hollow core spectra with a chinese finger cuff? I use between 60 and 80lb mono main line. At the end of these leaders i go with a 4-6 ft peice of solid wire. Thanks kev.

i would do a Bimini with a double loop to loop

Kev, are u talking about what method to use when tying your main mono from the reel onto that big loop on the shark leader??

We use bimini on loop to loop... uni on spro type...

yeah, we attach them right to the main line.

Then i would probably also Bimini twist it. On our shark leaders we use solid wire on the ends too, almost looks just like coat hanger wire. We have always used them with the rattle things on them too. I LOVE SHARK FISHING!!!

And will the bimini wind right on to the reel nice, we use 30s and 50s. Whats the advantage of say a bimini over a spider hitch? Or both of them over the hollow core?

Bimini is a high percentage knot... Past that, tied properly she will pass nice... Move further, there is a tiny bit of shock absorber built into it... Finally a straight hand cuffing doesn't fully conform to IGFA rules. There must be a seperate knot in a connection to a leader over 130lb test.

A seperate peice of hollow core dosnt fit that? So a bimini would pass but the finger cuff dosnt?
