If you have not noticed, we absolutly love sport fishing and we also love working on the internet. For over 5 years we have tried very hard to bring you the best in Sport Fishing Action online. Sadly though, over 5 years have gone by and we are not able to find much support from the Marine Industry. For the first 3 years we did not even look, but once the numbers grew and we watched companies make money here on the site we could only hope that the industry would find a way to work with us. Of course we have the select few companies who have been right with us, believing in the mission to bring you all the best. This last year was a real eye opener for us. We no doubt realized that we could not wait around for a industry to understand how to advertise online. We have huge hopes and dreams for this site. We want cool things like sea temps, better marine weather, HD video, mobile apps, constant local reporting on events and industry news. Sadly though without much support we had to watch our spend. We always knew we could make this site work and make it work very well if we brought you products you need. As of today we have officially taken a step way into the future. For the last 6 months our staff has worked around the clock getting us ready for this day. The SportFishermen.com store is jammed with over 16,000 products and new items will be going in every day. Our goal is to provide you with the ultimate outdoors store right at your finger tips. This store will be the future of this website and has the potential for us to expand our network, to bring you the best sport fishing website know to man. Great products, great prices that ultimately will support the website a lot of us have grown to love. Quote:

Rhino 110 review
Rino 110
Package Includes:
The Rino 110 is a GPS-enabled handheld that integrates radio functionality to provide two-way communications. It's waterproof, can send communications up to two miles using FRS channels, 5 miles using GMRS channels, and can "beam" your exact location to another Rino user using "Position Reporting". And because the Rino 110 has standard FRS/GMRS capabilities, you can talk to friends or family who own conventional FRS/GMRS radios. The Rino 110 has a built-in city point data base, with 1 MB of internal memory for additional points-of-interest data that can be downloaded from a MapSource® Points of Interest CD-ROM. Rino 110 Features:
Please note: Check your local radio agency for use outside the U.S. and Canada. 25% Details SKU 14831 Quantity in stock 4 item(s) available Price: ![]() ![]() ![]() The Rino 110 has brought me out the woods more than once! I expecially like the send location feature. I can send my location to anyone one else that has a Rino. This is useful when hunting and needing some extra help where ever you are at. The reciepent can easily see your location and can make their way to you with out having to send directions. I also like the walkie talkie feature, now I don't have to carry seperate radio and gps. The Rhino 110 easily lets you mark waypoints and points of interest. I have found the Rhino 110 to be useful in and out of the woods. Also the Rino 110 is useful on the water too. I have all of BeaglMan's favorite fishing spots saved in there. $145.10 You Can find it here http://www.sportfishermen.com/shop/g...frs-14831.html Last edited by Electronics Guru; 10-27-2009 at 02:42 PM. |

I have used the Raymarine c80 and DS600X on my 25' Parker since 2006 when I bought it. They have both performed flawlessly. I would recommend this and any Raymarine unit to anyone considering marine electronics.
The chartplotter with the radar overlay in an awesome feature. The digital fishfinder allowed me to differentiate between baitfish and tuna. This was a great feature, especially when chasing these elusive tuna all summer. I have enclosed numerous pics, including the installation that worked perfectly for my Parker. Also, a pic of one trip where I was able to spot tuna feeding on a baitball on the Fishfinder. I then dropped a jig down to the area where I marked fish and was able to hook and land a 66" tuna. Thank you Raymarine, Scott Naismith |

Furuno GP1850;
Our boat travels virtually all of the time. While some massage their egos by going for bigger and bigger all in one display units we aboard Mirage have opted for reliability and redundancy instead. This unit delivers just that. All in one units have their appeal but when on long runs we often go to places that if we didn't bring it, we can't get it. Enter the 1850 series. Sized small enough to allow multiple units to be installed in a small dash where they can be used simultaneously. One set of data being displayed on one while the others display other pertinent information. When chasing big dollars in tournaments there is no time in your day to worry about failure and with this series that has never been an option. Ease of use enables me as captain to aquire all I need to know at the push of a button so I can keep my focus where it belongs, the baits. For as long as I can remember, when friends have asked, my asnswer has been Furuno.

Lee Mx series outriggers
I installed the 19' Mx poles on my 2005 Parker 2520. I have used these poles for three years. They have worked flawlessly. Fishing in the Northeast, I troll big spreader bars with large 18" squid. These outriggers pulled any and all bars that were attatched to them.

Offshore Innovations Green Machine Spreader Bar
With the hot bite in the dump this year I decided to invest in an offshore innovations green machine spreader bar. Fishing from a small boat always poses a problem when it comes to running spreader bars effectively. Specifically, I am unable to run a bar in the ideal position, that is far enough back. Typically, running the bar too far back results in the old tumble routine. Over the years I have been though many bar variations in an attempt to remedy this issue. While most bars have not given me desired result, the green machine spreader from Offshore Innovations ran like a champ in almost all positions, and as a result did a number on the small yellowfin, and even raised a 45 # fish a mere 15 miles south of Martha's Vineyard!
In addition to the yellows, this bar has produced bluefin south of Block Island. In summary, I was impressed with this bar's ability to run well despite the fact that my boat is limited in its ability to get the bar out of the water. Additionally, I have had zero issues with the rigging. Great product. here are some shots of yellows taken on the bar this summer, in the first shot the bar is still within the yellowfin's grasp! |

Tents - Expedition/Outfitter for sale, my Eureka brand tent has served me well since 1987, I bought the green 4 man A frame style as shown in the pick here. Although 4 people could lay down in a 4 man tent, always buy 2X the number needed in tents so you have room for gear. Buy a 4 man tent for 2 people. This tent sheds snow very well and I have stayed in the tent with 18" on the ground. A really great product.

After searching for over two years when I first began bluefin tuna fishing, I finally found the OI Aussie Bar. In three different sizes, 30", 36" and 48", these bars perform flawlessly. I have found through my experience that these bars don't walk side to side or dig into the face of the waves like other spreader bars would. After fishing many bars that wouldn't swim right no matter the position they were in, the OI Aussie Bars blow the other brands out of the water so to speak. They can be fished up off the riggers or out of rod holders in the transom. They are the only spreader bar I will run off the back of my boat.......
