Recently my older VHF decided to stop working, not a good thing when you are getting your gear together for another run offshore for tuna. Everyone knows how important good, reliable, communication is offshore, whether it is for serious matters like hailing the coasties or as simple as calling your buddy in on a hot bite. For this reason I went with the Icom M304 VHF with DSC.

It couldn't have been easier to install and hook up the DSC connection to my Raymarine C70. Now not only can I have peace of mind with my working VHF, but with the DSC connection to my gps I know that, if needed, a simple push of the distress button relays my position in lat/lon to the coast guard.

I couldn't be happier with my Icom.

    Hatch Bait Bar

Deep thanks for the review. I have to say the Hatch Bait Bars are one of the best kept secrets of the OI spreader bar line up.

At first glance they don't look like much. No Flash, No Splash, and not a lot of Cash. However, they just simply catch fish, period. After examining hundreds of Yellowfin Tuna stomachs and finding mostly 3-5" squid, it only made sense to "match the hatch". I have found these bars effective on all tuna and the occasional white marlin. They are available in four colors on both our standard "Aussie Bars" and our new lightweight series "Aussie Bars" that utilize lighter .093 titanium allowing greater action of the baits.

The all new C-Series Widescreen redefines multifunction navigation with larger, brilliant displays, increased performance, expanded networking and video integration. These high resolution displays give captains a commanding view of multiple sources of information without compromising readability. Choose full screen navigation or choose multiple widescreen window combinations of chart, radar, fishfinder, weather and video – C120W gives you the flexibility to create the ideal screen configuration for every navigation scenario.

The 12” C120W features a high resolution 1280 x 800 pixel (WXGA) widescreen display. The C120W is sunlight viewable and utilizes optical bonding technology for improved contrast, vibrant colors and a wide viewing angle. Display and menu navigation is also simplified with the all new UniControl pad.

C120W is ready to navigate with an internal high sensitivity GPS sensor. C-Series Widescreen displays are also pre-loaded with ready-to-navigate Navionics charts. Navigate with high quality pre-loaded Navionics charts or step up to 3D or Satellite photo charts using optional Navionics Platinum charts on CompactFlash. An on board graphics coprocessor provides quick chart screen redraws and stunning 3D graphics.

Building your C-Series Widescreen Network is easier than ever with SeaTalkhs. Build a single widescreen display or create a dual display C-Series Widescreen network using SeaTakhs to share radar, chartplotting, fishfinder, weather and navigation functions between two C-Series Widescreen displays. The C120W also supports SeaTalk and SeaTalkng protocols for seamless integration with a Raymarine external GPS sensor, LifeTag, SeaTalk instruments and SeaTalk autopilots. NMEA0183 and NMEA2000 support is also standard on the C120W providing easy integration with 3rd party electronics and engine monitoring.

Using SeaTalkng, C-Series Widescreen and SmartPilot X-Series autopilots go beyond conventional chartplotter-autopilot communication. C-Series Widescreen displays can actually control autopilot functions from the chartplotter interface. An autopilot dialog enables the captain to engage and disengage the autopilot directly from the C-Series display offering added convenience when using Raymarine’s SmartPilot X-Series for waypoint and route navigation.

Each C-Series Widescreen display also feature a video input for on-board cameras. Raymarine Marine Cameras are plug-and-play and offer outstanding video quality and durability in the marine environment.

The Raymarine C120W kit includes an owners manual, quick reference guide, suncover, flush mounting kit, and a Power/data/video cable.

    C120W Features

•Command view of multiple navigation sources on single widescreen display

•Sunlight Viewable display with Optical Bonding technology for improved color and contrast in all lighting conditions
    •Super high WXGA resolution - 1280 x 800 pixels

I might be one of the most opinionated people on the net but its rare that I endorse a product. Its gotta be damn good for me to do that. Its gotta be better than good to have two full sets of my own and recommend that each of my clients has a set at least. I made one tackle stop on the tournament trail this year and it was your table...
Wasn't allowed to use em in the tourney but wasn't gonna miss the oportunity to have my client meet you and order yet another set...
Lets kick that review into clearer view. I owned my own lure company and am involved currently with another at this time. Can't argue with something that catches...

I am very impressed with the knowledge that Captian Lee Parsons has on catching Trout. I spent 2 days learning how to catch trout. We succeeded in adverse weather conditions, but we caught trout. He is terrific person and a professional person in his field of fishing. I will use Captain Lee again to learn how tol catch Drum and other fish
