    Security for your Boat

I have been using the Paradox Marine security system for a couple years now, and it's a really cool product.

Any time you want to check on the boat you can view live video feeds from multiple cameras. If any of the alarms are triggered, the system calls you.

All the alarms are wireless so install is pretty simple. We have an entry alarm, motion detectors, smoke, high water, and low voltage alarms.

Say a person does get into the boat, and doesn't leave when the alarm goes off. Not only can you view them on the camera (the camera records too), but you can talk to them thru a speaker phone so you can tell them exactly what will happen to them if they don't leave.

    Talk about piece of mind.

One other thing, the camera needs an internet connection. A simple router with a wireless card not only provides the internet for the camera, but you can use it as a wireless network for the boat. So any one with a laptop/phone can log on for wireless internet.

Anyway, thought I should pass this along for any one who likes knowing their boat is safe.

Actually, you can program the unit to play (at a super high volume) a "personal recording" when some one opens the door to the boat. Use your imagination, from what I've seen, that feature is almost worth the price alone.

And, say certain things are happening on the dock, or inside the boat for that matter. I can log in from anywhere and capture images and video. I can think of a couple people that should be glad I didn't have this "back in the day". So yeah, that would have been a "booby" trap.
