I thought for what it is worth I would share a season recap of the six trolling trips I have run this year and what the fish have taken.

TOTALS

Eight for Ten on Yellow fin bites

One double header one quad and the rest single bites

One on blue white Islander/ One on a mylar skirted bally/ Two on the spreader bar/ Two on a mylar chain like the one from eye catcher that I made myself/ One on a rigged squid/ The rest hit naked ballys.

Five bluefin tuna 2 over seventy pounds/ on blue and white islander fished way back

three over fourty pounds on mylar skirted bally fished way way back

and one thirty pound fish on a spreader bar.

I have seen and caught one white on a rigged squid

Seen and missed one blue

Had one wahoo bite off on a mylar skirted bally

Caught many dolphin on various baits

Two things I learned when fishing the deep with a marlin spread and you get yft bites it just has seen to me that they come in multiples and I think this goes to the light leader small bally, teasers and the fact that in my opinion yft tuna in the deep for the most part are less skittish than those found inshore.
