Season Long Tourney OC,MD $$$$

Was wondering if somehow, SFC or some other organizer could put a season long meat fish tournament together in OC,MD. Just a thought but begin the season May 1 till Novmember 1 and pay out the top two heaviest fish for each category for each species like:
YFT
BFT
BE
Mako
Dolphin
Wahoo

It would be open to anyone and must be weighted at Sunset.
One Fee ($600)to cover all categories open to all boats who participate, maybe daily charters could get a nominal daily fee added $50/day from their clients to a charter boat's initial entry of $600 for the season. These guys are out there with a different group more than most fishermen.

Some of the reasoning for this fun tourney is some guys are better at targeting some species than others etc ...
This is just a thought and could be fun for private guys as well as charters and open to all, and if enough boats enter, could make some $$$$

Maybe somehow on SFC but fish must be weighed by a certified scale in a certain inlet? Just got to define the reigon, Carolinas to NY??

Local Camaderie is also great.

Maybe 2 different tourneys??

South Jersey marina has a scale. How does that sound for any one in the area? Lucky Lady, will that work? You seem to be in CM more than most people who live there.

Cape May does seem to be my second home away from home, I will be on vacation probably till the spring

It can be done and I'm in. Maybe add something up near point pleasant or a further north. North vs South type thing NY vs PA lol

As a director of some of the Indian River Marina Tournaments I would be interested in getting involved with this if IRM would be a suitable midway point for NJ/DE/OCMD I will keep an eye on this thread to see where it goes. We have a certified scale (2 of them) and an official weigh master at the bait and tackle store at IRM. Or I am betting with some cooperation we could put this together with all 3 inlets and have 3 weigh stations to get a wide spread participation.
