had the pleasure of fishing with some freinds from bre-z-lee abourd there 30' blackwatch, first off nice boat, fast and comfortable,
started the day with rain overcast forecast, stopped at the elephant trunk looking for a b-fin, but man was that water cold, 62-60 degrees, after speaking with capt johns freind, we pulled the hoos up and steamed to the balt. ran right to the tip where we were met with more 62 deg h2o, well as most of you have read so far , it warmed up really fast. 63,64,65, you get the picture, well when it hit 72 we looked like kids in a candy store, we had 9 rods out faster than i could believe possable, and they weren't out long, after a short bit 1 , 2 , 3, rods screamin, now there's only people fishing here, well interesting to say the least, anyhow 1 became un-buttoned, but we still had 2 on, anyhow we land the first 2 , 1 fish just making the limit, however the 2nd was a nice 50-55lber[yft]. what a welcome sight. anyhow trolled the rest of the day ending up with 3 fish out of 6 bites, 4 of the bites were on blu/white illanders, 1 on a purple cedar plug , yes a cedar plug, and one on a amaturistically rigged flying fish. but i will say one thing , there's no mistake when a fish hits that flyer, its coming to eat , and eat they do. dont ask me why i decided to pull a flyer, but after attending the boxman's class i just had to . thanks marty....
