Since when does telling having the truth told about you constitute being "spammed"? Slammed? Yes. Slammed for stealing the very design of lures invented by a man for whom you worked for a very short period of time and presenting them as your own, slammed for impersonating his very business by changing two letters in the title of same, slammed for personal behavior lower than a halibut's belly. These are facts. Impersonating an expert? Merely a substantial allegation. It's nice of you to offer a fellow fishermen advice and assistance, but isn't it you who are the spammer? Let's deal with the facts. The greatest strength and weakness of the internet is that it allows those of little character, experience, or expertise to deal on momentarily "equal" footing with truly innovative, uniquely experienced, and totally bona fide legends. It leaves it up to the individual to weed out the fly shit from the pepper. This is why the truly qualified experts don't show up on forums more than they do, they end up defending themselves against wannabe's and pretenders enjoying their moment in the spotlight. Slammed? YOU BET!
If you and your buddy want to drive to Dana Point (50 min north of San Diego) you can go searching on the DOG HOUSE with us. Have released two Threashers pushing 200# last weekend outside the harbor. Guys also doing pretty well with halibut and the bonito bite has been fun and makes great lobster bait. Double limits over Thanksgiving with one hoop under the boat. Watched them crawl in with the underwater lights all within 4 hours.
Anyways there are lots of options to target this time of year. I wont make the run to the tuna grounds quite yet but this years temps wil be keeping them close. Tailwalker charters might be your ticket there.
Most of the folks in these parts tend to hang it up this time of year. But I will be out there when your in town and might be able to fit your schedule. I'm not a charter operation but do have my ticket with future charter plans. Anyways hope you have a great stay and good fishing

What a great offer! No, Haze isn't a charter captain (gonna be? Very cool!), but he's a real good guy and one helluva fisherman who really knows his stuff. And he's got a great boat. If you get a chance to fish with him, by all means, do it!
And if you do, see if he can't introduce you to one of those thresher sharks...they will blow your mind! Sounds like he's got 'em pretty well lined up. Just be sure to eat your Wheaties!
