Saltwater Crocodiles and Life In Islamorada.

Had a couple that wanted to do some sight seeing, an eco tour I'd guess you can say. So Capt. Jeff took them out and about. Found them a saltwater croc by one of the bridges got up over top to snap some pictures. These really are some pre-historic creatures. One of the Keys most rare and stunning creature the saltwater crocodile can be found soaking in the warm sun.

Late Fall and early winter is when everything starts showing up. The Bird life is absolutely amazing that migrates here. Come for the Fishing but enjoy the beauty which makes up the Florida Keys. Islamorada is a special place.

Yea Frank we got um, They are actually called the American Crocodile and they inhabit the gulf of mexico region. They supposedly grow the largest for there species. But they are in the most trouble from habitat and human interference. They can get aggresivebut attacks in the US are very rare, supposedly the first attack in FL happened to two drunk kayakers at 330am in april. Mother crocs get aggressive protecting there nest. But most prefer flight to fight.
Fatalities have occurred but in south america. They are no longer endangered but are protected species. Most species seen in the keys are crocs and not gators as the crocs prefer the brackish to the Gator which prefers more fresh.
