I think Moorehead City deserves this spot how about everyone else? I fish Frying Pan Shoals and the fish didnt show up here this year like they did last year.

Not sure about how many were up around Cape Cod this summer but for numbers only and not giants the lumps off Southern NJ, DE, MD held vast numbers of bluefins but they were almost all 45-60 inch fish mostly. They were thick and many were caught or releashed this past season. The previous year was excellent also. Many of these tuna were in the 60-125 lb range with a few up and over 200 lbs. Again not giants but lots of them.

I think a few of us need to email the magazine and tell them what how foolish they look on that one! Woner how many have been caught out of Morehead vs on down to the state line?
I say let it be........................ You think the Morehead people want More heads down there running around in what is basically a commercial fishery. I'm sure they get more respect from a pay check than an article in SWS.
Fish love boat rides
Well, it'll be over and shut down in another week or so. There is no allocation for February. And if we get a couple of days of a decent bite, it'll end before January 31st. So guess it doesn't make too much difference. But I'm sure the charter captains out of Morehead wouldn't be real happy about the business they would be losing if this thing had came out in November or December.
