I was watching a satellite TV show the other day out of South Africa with these guys deep jigging for various species. Whilst one of them was fighting a fish they noticed birds and frothing water about half a mile away. The guy got his fish on board and they zoomed over. Using the same spinning reels, rods and jigs they cast into the baitball and one of them came tight. The fish takes off and he's way over matched. After about a 10 second run a Sail starts jumping. These guys are pros and they went absolutely crazy. I couldn't figure out what the excitement was all about until they landed the fish and took the lure out. Yep, a Chartreuse Berkley Gulp.
Just shows that when they want to bite, fish will hit anything you put in front of them.
Here's a link to the website. I couldn't find the episode on there but if anyone does please post the link:

No surprise. We have had good luck pitching the Gulp squid to sailfish since it first came out. Problem is for the price/qty you might as well just get a dozen hoos. There is some other video floating around the net of a 500+ LB blue marlin sucking down a 10" Gulp squid.
