Damn dude, you said you had some goods pics, that was an understatement.

Again, way to go, you had a couple of amazing days last week.

Did you celebrate Friday night or anything???

What an awesome day...Friday April 18th will be with me forever.

We had Bryan Hunt, Dan, Justin, Dave Sikorski and our friend from little Washington...Bill.

We had a great crew and we had beautiful weather.

Our first fish of the day came quickly for us. It was a wahoo and he was being eaten alive on the way in. When he came to the boat his tail was just hanging from a piece of meat.
The next fish came a few minutes later and that was a King. He also was eaten alive on the way in and he was missing his tail completely.

We caught a Blackfin and a couple Mahi's over the next couple hours.

Around 11:30 the bite shut off. Around 1:00 I slipped out a pair of dinks just behind our 3 flats trying to make something happen. Over the next 30 minutes we picked at the Mahi's here and there.

About 2:00 the left teaser goes to singing. Captain Brian says "He's on the left teaser"..."Thats him....thats him". I was already on the way over there to bring the left flat line up to him. I cranked it up and held it in place....he took it but let it go just a second later. Captain Brian yells "Get those dinks out of the water NOW". Then the left short came down and started surging. It did that for a few seconds and then he came off. Then we saw the dorsal and tail fins cutting across the spread from right to left. Then I hear the bridge pole start screaming and Captain Brian said "Got him...get the shit up now". We had 12 rods in the spread at that point. Everyone started cranking stuff in as fast as they could. Captain Brian was backing down about 7 or 8 knots easily and Dave was in the chair cranking like a mad man. We had the leader in about 10 minutes max. Every where that fish tried to go Captain Brian was already heading that direction. Dave did one of the best jobs of angling I have seen in a long time.
It was such a sigh of relief to reach out and touch that leader too. I can't tell you how many Blue Marlins we hooked last year but never landed due to the people in the chair making mistakes. As everyone know, you give these fish an inch and thats all it takes.

On of the best parts that I will remember is Captain Brian coming down off the bridge and giving me a big hug and a congratulations. He was so happy that we finally got #1 out of the way. That was one of the best fishing moments I have ever had. It was a special day for sure.

After that I don't know what happened for the last 15 minutes. LOL

We ended up with 10 Mahi, 1 Wahoo, 1 Blackfin, 2 Kings, 1 AJ and 1 Blue Marlin release.
