Thumbs up RUN-OFF Offshore Report 6/22/07

Friday we had a Husband and wife along for their first trip offshore ever.
Allen and Debra were from Raleigh, NC. They were here for a nice relaxing vacation.

Debra was scared to death she was going to be sick. The wind was blowing about 15 knots and the seas were a little sloppy. She never got sick one bit though. She did great.

The Mahi's were being a little difficult on Friday. Lots of short strikes and just busting on the bait without touching it. Most of them not coming back again for another shot.
We had to adjust our game plan a little bit. We picked away at them throughout the day. We had a shot at a Sailfish that I missed on the right short as well. Needless to say, Allen and Debra had all the reeling in action they wanted.
My son rode along with us on Friday too. He kept Captain Brian on his toes up on the bridge. LOL
We ended up with 17 Mahi's, 1 Wahoo and an AJ that we let go.

I really had a great time fishing with Allen and Debra.

Its always such a treat to fish with someone that has never been offshore before. Its like fishing with the children....they get excited over the smallest stuff. Things that we are used to seeing day in and day out. Things that we take for granted.
Little things like the beautiful blue water, the flying fish and the huge turtles.
It just add's a little something to my day.

I will post up our pictures tonight when I get home.

Great report John. You are so right about the things we take for granted. Just living on the coast is one. People save for 50 weeks a year to come play in our backyard.
The fishing is just icing on the cake. Just great to be alive and living on the Carolina coast.
Why Play Nintendo when you can live it???
