    Smile RUN-OFF Offshore Report 4/30/07

Today we had SFC's Scott Davenport (dolphinfrenzi) along with his Brother in law Jerrod and Nephew Bradley. It was a beautiful day on the water. Seas were flat as they could get and the sun was shining bright. We caught a couple Mahi in the morning first thing. Then it went slow for a while. Captain Brian kept working it like he does best and found us some more Mahi here and there. Around 12:30 we picked up and run to a different spot and set em back out. About 5 minutes later we picked up our first Tuna. About 15 minutes later we picked up another. About 20 minutes later we got 5 on at once. 2 of them pulled off after pulling off some line. The other 3 got a free boat ride home. After that was done it was time to head home.

Bradley was 11 years old and he reeling in about 6 Mahi and 2 Tuna's. He was one of the best anglers we have had on the boat. He did everything he was told unlike the adults do sometimes. It was great to fish with him.

Now Scott and Jerrod on the other hand......LOL They moaned and groaned like old ladies when they were reeling in the fish. heheheee Captain Brian didn't cut them any slack. He rode them hard and put em away wet. They too did an awesome job. Everyone did great.

Jerrod and his son Bradley had never been offshore before. So, it was our mission to put them on the fish and show them a good time. Needless to say they slept good on the way home. It's so cool to fish with people who have never been out there to experience with the deep blue is like.

Overall we had a great time. Lot's of laugh's and lots of fish.

We ended up with 5 Yellowfin's and 8 Mahi

BTW....Scott is the one who designed and built our website. So if you need a website or just want some help doing your own, just shoot him a PM.

Thank you thank you thank you

I have fished with Capt Brian for several years now and everytime is amazes me. But Monday was special for me, my nephew and brother in law Jerrod have never been offshore. Now they go king fishing with me and other stuff, but Bradley has heard me talk about fishing with Brian. And he always ask when can I fish with Captain Brian. Well after several wind blows and 1 questionalble day we got our chance, I was able to sneek in on the weather and get them out there. Brian and John are awesome as we all know but Bradly was nervous this was his first offshore trip. He was taking a little nap and we got the first mahi and we put him right in the chair. Then Jerrod got the next one. I could care less if I caught a fish just letting them catch them all is why I was there. Bradley got another. The next one he wanted me to catch. But he was having the time of his life. We caught some more mahi and then the call came down from the man above. "I want yall to clear lines like you never have before, we are running" I was still clearing the last one when it was full throttle down and we were gone. John put lines in and then it came Mr Tuna came a knocking he was a healthy soul, that at the dock weighed 49.5lb and yes he put a whooping on me and Capt B kept giving it to me LOL, saying, Scott I would like to catch more fish today, you think you can get this one to the boat sometime soon LOL, and there was more but I will not post it here LOL. Well that really woke Bradley up. So he is ready for his first tuna, we put him in the chair and he got it and John put the cold steel to it. the came the real excitement 5 on at 1 time, but what impressed me the most was how Bradley handled himself. While myself and his dad were cranking on fish Mr Bradley was in the chair fighting a fish and we had been there guiding the line and assisting him on the 1st one, but we were preoccupied and John was there with him and Brian motivating him the entire time. I have found in past history whether it be Giants, yft or what ever tuna it will make people say uncle and I had a buddy quit in the chair on a giant, that is my addiction to tuna fishing. But not Jerrod's son and my nephew, by himself fighting that tuna he kept getting it when he could take it, he kept cranking if he could get an inch he took it. And John politely put the cold steel to another one. What a day Captain Brian and John I owe u both more than you will ever know!! If I never fish another day in my life that was the best day in my life!!! Thanks Scott
