RUN-OFF Offshore Report 4/23/07

Well, today was another beautiful day on the water. We had Brian's good friend Norman with us today. We also had Normans friends Gary, Phillip, Jesse and Tim. Norman has fished the Big Rock with Captain Brian for a couple years. We found out yesterday that he is probably going to be fishing it with us this year as well.

Gary, Tim and Jesse started drinking Bud's on the way out at 5:30 AM. That was a new record on The RUN-OFF

Let me tell ya, these guys were wide open all day long. You needed some thick skin to fish on that boat yesterday. LOL I had an absolute blast fishing with these guys. They were a lot of fun to hang out with.

The seas were calm as a lake. The sun was shining bright and we all were in shorts and t's.

Fishing was slow for everyone out there yesterday. Nothing like the previous days catch. However, THE BEAST put us on the fish as he ALWAYS does. There seemed to be plenty of toothy critters around yesterday though. We lost our flat line, short and long rigger as well as my Top Secret teaser to Wahoo's. But, we were Tuna fishing and not Wahoo fishing. Got the stuff replaced and back out and we started catching a couple Tuna's throughout the day. We ended up catching 2 Yellowfins, 6 Blackfins and 2 Dolphin.

The guys had a great time fishing today. We had awesome weather as well. It was just a great day to be on God's earth.

What a pretty day on the water for April. These kind of days spoil ya.
