What a week it was.
It was an honor to fish on The RUN-OFF with Captain Brian for one of the biggest tournaments on the East Coast. We never did catch what we were looking for, but we sure did so some serious searching for her out there.
We were in the area of the bite every day thanks to Captain Brian. He had us right there in the action all of the 4 days we fished.
I am not surprised though, he does the same thing when we are charter fishing.
Monday, we had a Blue crash the left short. He was hooked and pulling line off and 1 member of the party reached over and slapped it into free spool. That fish was gone.
We had a small Blue pop the band on the left flat but he would not come back to it again.
We saw another Blue that day as well that would not eat.
We hooked a Sailfish on the right long and released it on Monday.
Tuesday we released 2 Whites on a double header hook up. The fish came on both flat lines.
We saw 1 other Sailfish that on Tuesday.
We layed Wednesday and Thursday.
Friday we did not get a chance at any Billfish.
Saturday we had a small Sailfish come on the left flat that we did not get the hook in. We tossed the pitch bait to him and released him on a circle hook just a couple minutes later.
We saw another Sailfish right after that for a few seconds that faded away just as quick as he appeared.
Out of 184 boats, there were only 23 that finished ahead of us.IMO....that is pretty damn good.
Just goes to show ya that Captain Brian Harrington is the man...THE BEAST. Awesome job Captain B.![]()
Thank you so much for letting me be a part of it.
Maybe next year will be our year.
The party booked us for next years Big Rock already too!!!!![]()
