RUB ME THE WRONG WAY

I know every one of us has a pet peeve that just drives you nuts when you're out trying hook a monster. My biggest aggravation is when people see the success you're having and insist on invading your chum slick and set anchor down tide of you. It is even worse when the intruding boat is a charter guy and he tries to muscle you out of the area. Man it gets me boiling!
So vent here and maybe some light will be shed as to why some folks are just ignorant or you can just post the stupid little things that make you crazy in the search for offshore game fish.

With around 6 billion people on the planet, no matter how small a percentage you assume are total idiots, that still adds up to a large number of individuals. Unfortunately there is no way to get away from people who weren't brought up right, are inconsiderate, or who take pleasure in inserting themselves into your day.

I try to not let those things bother me, and just go on my way realizing that I can find another way or place to have a good day, but they are stuck with who they are.

Grady, I hate that too. This summer after taking a family friend and his kids striper fishing I had this moron, who apparantly thinks it is socially acceptable to be hammered by noon as long as you own a boat, scream and curse that my 2.8kt wake speed was too fast as I cruised past his bayliner. Totally ruined an awesome day that saw both the kids catch their first keeper bass. (one was a respectable 20 lber that looked liked it could have swallowed half of the little guy who caught it)

Nothing is worse then when you are hooked up to a fish, trying to chase it down or back down on it, and the fleet starts coming over to see whats going on. Im pretty sure thats why they have radio!

Worse than the fleet is one moron that comes in real close and does not respond to the radio and or horn blast as the Blue one is greyhounding towards him and your tryimg to turn the boat to chase

This actually hapend to us in Atlantis Canyon 2 summers ago there was not another boat in site and this moron keeps getting closer and closer and caused us to lose enough line to eventually part him off ???? WTF Dude

One thing that really gets under my skin is not other boats, it's something that the people I am fishing with do. I can't understand why someone standing in a cockpit, surrounded by dozens of rod holders, feels the need to lay several hundred dollars worth of rod and reel on the deck

Use the freaking rod holders peple!! That's what they're there for!!

When you dont catch a thing for 4-5 hours and someone starts bitching "LETS GO HOME" nothing kills me more than that.Dude if you knew you couldnt swim the distance why the hell would you come with if you didnt wanna stay out the whole time.My girlfriend dosnt complain as much as some people

can't stand it when your in the canyons trolling, not hooked up, and people insist on crossing behind you dangerously close to your lines. a couple of years ago we actually lost a spreader bar because of a guy crossing behind us to close and he had the arrogance to call us up on the radio and yell at US!!!! well i kindly told him he cut to close and to enjoy the new lure he just wrapped in his wheels (it was an inboard boat ) guess he got what he deserved
