Rod Suggestions for Tekota 800

I just picked up a couple of Tekota 800s and I'm looking to get some rods for them. I'll mainly be trolling for kings, dolphin, and sails as well as using them for grouper jigging/bottom fishing. I was thinking of spooling them with 30lbs braid.

Looking for a good all around rod since my fishing arsenal is limited. Looking to spend between $100-$200.

I do not have any of his stuff but I hear it is very affordable and he builds some choice stuff... maybe he will see this his ad has a bent butt stick on it when he posts.. then he can put 'Stacys Rod' on it ...LOL good luck with it ...great reel

I think it is JPR rods... he sent me some info when I first got on... I have all old fisher sticks... I love them but they are not around anymore

Thanks Quest! He actually sent me a pm just before your post! He's quick! I checked out his web site and sent him some questions but they look pretty good. Not that I really know ANYTHING about rods!

I think getting Stacy her own rod would be pretty funny! I already buy "her" fishing lures EVERY holiday, rod might be a bit much but it would be really funny! I tell her all the time she's not getting an engagement ring, she's getting an engagement shotgun! I think I need to stop pressing my luck at some point!

craverosu. there are a few good choices with fuji parts turbo guides and seat. for 30# line
and one a little heavier,.in your price range.
great for what you are looking for, or a BIG striper rod chunking

have enough to make about 7 STACY RODS

and i have time in the next 3 weeks to build..

Three years back, I gave my friends Al & Paula a nice gaff with engraving for their wedding gift. To this very day, every time the gaff gift topic comes up in conversation, Paula gives me hell, Al laughs, the womenfolk stare at me with hate-filled eyes and the guys look at me with silly grins on their faces that they catch hell for when they get home later.

I actually just order the rods from paul! Can't say enough great things about helpful he was! I don't know jack or crap about rods! I did have Stacy's Stick put on one of the rods! It'll go with the theme of me getting her fishing lures EVERY holiday!

you will not be unhappy.. pauls rods are one of the nicest rods i have ever held in my hand.. all his components are top of the line and he just doesnt make a bad rod ever!! to control you will feel when you put one of his sticks in your hand will be unsurpassable! trust me you are going to love them.
