Risky Business Sportfishing YFT and BFT not great but not bad either

Tuesday had John (flattop) and JPR RODS out for a Tuna trip. Its been three weeks since I was out last and I gotta say it was so no nice to get out again and fish offshore. It was a great day to be offshore with good friends and great weather and a few fish, we started out at the lumps to look for Bluefin but there were no signs of life to speak of so off we went to the trunk area and once we came to the temp break we put lines in and within 5 minutes we had a line go off ten minutes later a nice little 40lb Bluefin hits the deck. headed out further east and had two knock downs that didnt come tight. got out to the trunk and found cooler water and had a knock down that came tight with a small Skippie then two minutes after that the long rigger goes and we boat a the first yellowfin of the day. I worked that whole area boating two more yellowfin out of six bites. Near the end of the day I started to mark tuna at 60 and 80 feet but they never came up to eat, I believe they were on the move as I couldn't find them or the bait after one circle. So to end the day we went 3 for 6 on the Yellowfin and 1 for 1 on the Bluefin, wasnt the best day but it wasnt the worst either. What was so great about the day was spending time with good friends on the water with great weather and a few fish to crank in.
Paul has pics so maybe he will post a few.
I also want to say this I caught all the yellow fin in beautiful blue water that is mixed with 73 degree blue gray water the gray water was lifeless and it appeared to be squeezing the pretty water out.
