My best friend has a 65 footer
Floss
Kahi,
I have found that using Gudebrod Bait Riggin' Floss, 35#, works really good for reskirting lureheads and tying seawitches, etc.. Its the floss on the left in the pics you posted.
I havent had it break, yet. But in fishing, anything is possible and it is not a question of if, but when. I also use the same floss for mackeral rigging and circle hook rigging.
When it comes to securing the floss with a type of glue, fingernail polish, etc... I have found that Devcon 5 Minute Epoxy lasts longer than any other I have tried. Clear fingernail polish works, as does superglue, but for your seawitch to last bite in and bite out without the hair getting pulled out or the floss getting bit (and all you get back is a lead head), 5 minute epoxy has proved its worth to me. Seems that superglue and fingernail polish will not last through as many bites as the 5 minute epoxy, and in a hot bite on a certain color, you want those applications to hold the duration.
Some Katsup cups form MacDonalds and a cheap pack of watercolor paint brushes from Walmart will do the job. And you will need a toothpic to stir the epoxy to mix it up good.
Make sure you apply the epoxy good to the floss and place the seawitch, lurehead etc... in a way that the epoxy can dry without running or sticking to anything.
5 minute epoxy is available at you local hardware store. ( I didn't see a Hardware Store sponsor to plug on here...)
Hope this helps you out!
