Ballyhoo don't "paddle" their tails. That's the problem with most artificial Ballys. A properly rigged swimming Bally slithers through the water. It stays vertical and really does not have a lot of horizontal motion. A little tailwiggle. That's it. Gamefish love 'em.

    Keep posting Fred

Capt Fred: Keep doing and writing as you always have and disregard the critics! Every time I see a salesman, whether from a health insurance company, a drug company, a computer company, office equipment company, payroll company, remodeling company, office furniture company, I.T. company, etc., etc.; they all have an inherent bias as they speak about their area of expertise. It comes with the territory, and there is always something to learn no matter who is sitting in front of me because I take what is useful to me and disregard what is not useful to me.

You are one of the people that makes this forum interesting. Many other captains have quit posting here because of the critics many of whom are not qualified to comment on a particular technique. There are hundreds of ways to catch fish and the one I use does not make all the rest of the ways wrong! I find it interesting to read, consider, and try different ways…

Guy's want to catch fish, when they are spending to run...a few bally's rigged right can make the difference between zero and hero.......you know that........OH and P.S. we dont' sell bait...........Come On' Man the gentleman asked about swimming ballyhoo not some BS about your Pro Squids.....either ad to the conversation or don't post. All you did was spin it around to make people think ballyhoo are expensive and suck ..which is way wrong.

You don't like what I got to say then ...fallyhoo off...nice panties
I think you are being a little to hard on the Capt...One must understand Fred is an experienced speed guy...He trolls faster on the average than most...I can relate...His post is no where near an advertisement but rather observations he has made in R&D...Again, I can relate...And the Capt. is on to something...A straight running lure/squid at higher speeds can out-fish a perfectly running Bally in the long run...like Wahoo fishing...Maybe thats to advanced (thinking to much outside of the box) for the original poster...Maybe Capt. Fred just runs off on tangents sometimes...but thats what makes Fred...Capt. Fred.

    BTT for original poster:

Search this forum and youtube for rigging Bally's....There are several ways one can rig a Bally to troll...The key is to rig it for straight running and durability...Experiment with the different styles...Go with what works best for you and your tackle.

    Just a question.........

Would you care to see the entire dimensions (diameters) of the wind-on Jinkai mono and fluorocarbon that "sync's" with Ocean Lure Chafe Gear for each size SPRO and BILLFISHER bullet swivel? In other words wind-on heaven without trial and error.

By the way.......OLC chafe gear is the only chafe gear we have found that is tough enought and "thin-walled" enough to work with the bullet wind-on swivels.

Ill post it if you want as we built a Matrix, if not it's on our site on Tuesday next week.
