Busy, busy Anthony... wahoo season is a comin!

Here is another rig for double loose hooks to go with the old school lures I made and in deference to Roddy's post note that I moved his rear hook back a bit to clear the skirt. If you are curious about these odd looking lures click here - Making an Old School Lure From old photos from that era it looks like this is more or less how they rigged back then.

just ordered a couple of black barts rigged from anglers center and they sent those with mono doubled up like the cable in this lure. Should I change to cable? I only have 480lb cable though..

You will be fine, that is not an uncommon way to do it. I can not tell where you are fishing but if the razor gang is around then cable might be a good option. 480# cable is good, thats whats in the smaller lures shown above. I only use the 1000 on the humungous lures.

Liked the "making an old school" lure thread, Alan. Very cool. I have, under certain circumstances, also used hose in concentric diameters to fill a chrome tube. It works well as you get some weight and a place to stick the crimp at the same time. Super-glue was fine for gluing one piece of hose inside the next. I think in the front of the tube we stuck some of those Bubbler heads - flush. These were of course, straight runners/chuggers.
