    Rest in Peace Walker Holcomb

For those of you who didn't know Walker Holcomb passed away yesterday evening from the result of a heart attack. I had the privledge of spending his last few days "fishing" the Harbor Island leg of the BBC. I put fishing in quotes because all in all, the trip was series of unfortuate mishaps, however Walker's mood was always cheerful and upbeat. He was a blast to be around and a wealth of knowledge in the cockpit.

    "I'm wirey!" - Walker Holcomb

    Rest in peace!

The family is still in the proces of making funeral arrangements however once they are solidified i will post the info here for all those interested.

I too fished with him in the BBC, I'm stunned. He really made that trip something special to remember, NEVER a dull moment with Walker in the pit.

Rest in Peace, my friend.... I will miss you

Wow is right. I didn't know him but certainly recognise the name. To understate my impression; I never heard a bad word about him. Seems like a young guy for this to happen to. Very sad.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

    Still not sure.......
So sorry to hear this. I had the pleasure to spend several days a summer for a few years when Walker would come to OC and fish out of OCFC. He was a wealth of knowledge, always upbeat and would keep us in stitches with his antics.

He will be missed by so many.

God bless and wishing him calm winds and following seas.......

I never my him but for years it seemed like he was the only guy providing useful tips in Marlin Magazine...watching that video was hilarious!

Too bad he never offered up the head butt tip before now!

I had the pleasure of fishing with him too for the BBC's along with NJPete. I learned so much more in the 10 days I spent with him, then I would've in a few years on my own. He had no problem helping you, as well as learning from you. I was on the rod for the last blue he wired, and just watching him leader it and know what it was going to do was an amazing sight. NJ Pete had right " I'm wirey"!!!
