Left O.C. at 3:30 a.m. headed for the tip. We pulled up 2 miles out and dropped lines in a small temp break heading to the tip. Pick up one gaffer off a pallet but lost him near the boat. We decided to head inside to the 30 looking for some tunas. We dropped lines in and say it was crowded would have been an understatment. There was a hot bite early but got to the party to late. there was a few nice fish caught the rest of the day and we picked a nice graffer but could not buy a tuna bite. I decided since the fish were there but deep we would wait them out and after the fleet started in, the fish slowly started coming up and plenty of other life started showing up ended up going 1for 2 on 30 class YFT and killed a 46" and 54" bluefin and had another nice one break off before running out of time to get back before dark. Pulled into the dock at 8:45 and got most of the boat cleaned up before crawling down into the cuddy about midnight. A special thanks to the Charter captain on the Shelly II for calling us in to the great Bluefin action.
