Report 7/29/08

Hey guys, Just wanted to give a quick report. Ive been fishing a good bit so posting reports is tough but i look at is a good problem to have.

Fished just North of the Norfolk canyon yesterday, the boyz wanted to catch bill's so thats what we whent for. Ended up going 6 for 9 on the white ones and got a 300LB Blue dog first thing. Ended up seeing a dozen whites(some tailers) and managed to put the hook in 8, pulled a couple off, had 2 doubles got one and whent 1 for 2 on the other. Also had 6 gaffers all between 15 and 25LB, good sized fish. There is a really good current change/break that is stacked up with bills and gaffers.

Getting ready to leave for OC and start prepping for the tourny.

I was fishing on the Stacy out of Indian River. We had a father and son's team, the son's had never been in the ocean before. On the ride in i looked at them and said " it can only go downhill from here guys"

We are headed there Saturday. We were supposed to go Friday but a conflict developed...hope it is not a parking lot. Last week, the bite was strong all week then Saturday it was spotty (a lot of fish seen by many boats, but they were lazy)

We never raised one ourselves as we stayed out of the fleet but we did get a nice catch of dolphin off some flotsam.

Again, great report. Congrats! What were the whites coming up on? Teaser or dredge?
