Got the invite to fish on the Darlin with Mover II, Doug, donnie, Jule and Raymond Rhodes. rough start gettin out due to some logistical issues but made it out in some beautiful seas.
Missed a white marlin within minutes of lines in, lost a wahoo at the boat and then missed a triple wahoo. Its gonna be a long day. Oh well, we had the miller lite rep on the boat, Then it all came together as we scored on couple singles, all being nice sized fish. Late in the day Doug slid into the washington lump's outer edge and scored again on a single, then we had a double with a blue marlin mixed in the spread. I think the blue was trying to eat our wahoo not our bait. One more time around the block and we score on another wahoo on the black and red matanza. Fish is staying a bit deeper, we are ready to sink the gaff and up pops a white marlin. WHAT a DAY, 5 big hoos, a white and a redskins victory! Thanks Bill and Doug, had a great time. All fish were caught on Black/Purple Big Heavy except the white.
Monday took out Biebs and John Rogers on my boat. Pulled of a nice mystery off at the outer edge of the wash. lumps. Moved out to the rockpile and caught a smallish wahoo around a lobster ball. Worked the 40line towards the tip of the wash. and found a decent weedline, picked at some dolphin and the we get a triple header wahoo knocking. Pulled one off of the wahooking black/purple. caught one on the black/purple seawitch on the planer, and the caught a slob on the short rigger. I forget what that one ate. A couple more dolphin and then we ran to the 461 to investigate the 79 degree water. It was green and dirty with no life. John has some nice pics he will post later. Thanks for a great day guys, sorry I felt like shit all day and wasn't much help.
