Owner and his buddy left this morn. Both tickled pink (sun helped that too) with their trip this week. I received new orders for future plans and looks like the north part of our year won't happen. Had to fill out extended stay paperwork so it was afternoon by the time Deep Deckhand and I got off the dock...
Did a center pocket steam without a bite heading for my bottom grounds. Did a couple drifts and spanked the strawberries. Dropped the hook and burned a block of chum to spank the yellowtails...
Did center pocket again without a bite so we slid over to the wall just before the island and picked a couple sails for grins... Been a strange year here. Cold water, smaller dolphin than usual, very few marlin but all the sails you can stand. Those that worked the edge in the corner had like 4 or 5 of em each today.
North light wind shut the dolphin off today for the most part. The second it goes south or east though they turn right back on.
We were going to be headed home tomorrow but new plans have us going to Nassau to set up a long term camp to use as a base to jump offfrom to come here and elsewhere through the islands...
