Now that the gulf stream has pushed back in to normal range for Hatteras the offshore waters are teeming with life once again. The Reel Escape out of Hatteras Landing Marina fished around the 880 line from 20 to 50 fathoms today with many nice fish to show for the day. with over 300 pounds total catch for the day including mahi up to 35 pounds, and amber jack up to 40 and a Wahoo to round out the day the crew came back with sore arms and lots of memories for the day. the day was mostly a trolling day with gorgeous offshore weather, light winds and crystal clear gulf stream water and a brief stop off on the Manuela wreck to pick up some amberjack on light tackle.

The fishing from Hatteras keeps getting better every day, hope to see you soon.

That crew couldnt get enough of the AJ's had to beg them to throw em back after they got the limit! I got to admit.......hooking them on the jig is fun and even more fun to watch people who have never done it before!!!
