    Recomend a Kite

Hey thinking of trying a kite this summer ... I want to be able to try to dangle artificials to tuna and also Bluefish for tuna and shark.
I am a beginner for using a kite so I want a pretty simple setup
I have heard good things about Parafoil kites and I also like there price compared to the "fishing Kites"
    Which do you recomend?
    Thanks
    J

Sometimes you don't want a kite that is too 'efficient' , and that's why I stick with the aftcos. The SFE is a great kite, I own a couple, but the sumbitch will often fly too high, especially if you want the bait away from the boat. Too high and what you have is too much of a 'dropback' so to speak. The aftcos are pretty close to waterproof and easily adjustable, plus super easy to reel back in, something I've had occasional difficulty with using the SFE. The Lewis kites are ok, just way to fragile for lots of use.

We use a power sled. The bag it comes in doubles as a tail. Have fished up to three baits on it with no problem.

They use the same kite up here out of OI. They are nice and dont take much wind to fly. I have seen the Powersled and parafoils fly great in only 5-6mph winds. No frame to worry about either....Mark

Third for power sled. I've run 2 live bluefish off it with no problem, tons of lifting power.

No sticks to deal with, just roll it up when done. And a fraction of the cost of fishing kites

I run two kites down here or a single with three baits..

any good kite the aftco frenzy, or Bob lewis kites should be fine for you I do like and run the Bob Lewis kites though they have never let me down and the ones that do finally are old and the corners are all ripped up or the little pins are rusted and broke inside the fiberglass stays.. the bob lewis you have to buy more than 1 but get a holey heavy a red medium and a light wind you should be happy. if your down this way ever look me up kites are simple and they produce fish. it is really best to understand the bridal on them to catch the wind properly.

We've been fishing the Aftco(with no problems) but were still new to kite fishing. It seems though up this way there is more and more wind every summer...
