    Thumbs up Back at Home

Big Dan (my dad) and I put her in the water and ran here back to Hatteras.

It was kind of rough and it was hard to get a handle on how much speed/efficiency we gained, But I would say it was definately a big difference.

At least a knot at econo cruise and more at full cruise, overall you could feel the hull was smoother and everything seemed to glide through the water easier and smoother, much more than just new bottom paint.

Fuel burn at any given RPM was 1 GPH less and we were going atleast a knot faster.

As to weather it will pay for itself......

I am a big Cost/Benifit analyzer, I have to because this is my living, after determinig how much fuel I will save, I would say yes, it will pay for itself in 1 season, not to mention the intagible savings of less loading on the motor and wear and tear.

If you have got a fair amount of build up on your hull and are using more an more bottom paint each year, get her blasted!
