I made it to PV Monday afternoon. Met with the Fishing Captain later that day. His Name is (and many of you may know him) is Manny. His weapon of choice is a 35ft cabo. This vessel is loaded to the hill. Top of the line equipment and and everything in perfect working order. Manny is a third generation offshore fisherman. His Father and brothers all work with him to capture every anglers dream.
To keep this short we found the Tuna about 88 miles from his home port. We started off with a 20lb Mahi Mahi about 5 minutes into the troll.....and you know what happens next??????? Nothing for three hours. Then out of no where birds, birds, birds & more birds. Slamming, crashing creating a massive white warter erruption in the middle of a calm sea. From that point on it was game on for us. Over the next hour we slayed 20 tuna in the 35-65lb class. It was an awesome adventure. On the way in we trolled for Marlin. Didn't even have the 4th line out and there he was. A nice stripped Mac daddy in the mix. He was swatting, nipping and shreading the lures that were available. We even threw a live bait at him. However I belive him to only be window shopping. I will post pictures when I get home. I am fishing again with Manny on Friday, lets see what magic he will have up his sleeve. Untill then you guys in the Northeast enjoy the SNOW!!!!!!
