Puerto Rico Advice

We set off for the airport for TCI today but due to a passport mishap we are redirected to Puerto Rico. We are there through the 13th (wife and I) and are looking to fish at least one day.

Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Fished with Mike Buffington (from this forum).

First off, this forum is great! I felt much better fishing with someone who had established themselves here - and it paid off.

With what started as a tough day, Mike went the extra mile and wouldn't quit (literally) until we had found fish. We ended up losing a big tarpon (60+ anyway) on 8lb which was probably angler error (he pulled us into some pilings) and landed a 30+. Mike is applying the techniques he learned in the long range fleet and gulf to Puerto Rico. He "long range chummed" for hours until those tarpon finally turned on (man that dude can chuck a bait net). In addition to being a great fisherman, Mike has some great stories.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Mike starts messing around with the offshore scene here. Nobody swordfishes (yet)!
