    Tequila Tree

It's been windy here ( SE ) most of the week and we are expecting it to lay down Sunday but starting back up on Tuesday. The fish are here if it will stop blowing long enough to get out.

If you take a car down to punta allen there are a few guide services there. we had a private guide who was a free lance guy. his name was norro. theres a orange hotel on the second street away from the beach. they hooked us up with him. ill get more info soon for you.

    Tequila Tree

In P.A. in the 90's the visiting Captains and mates used to hang empty Tequila bottles on a tree behind the boats. The best night I can remember more then 25 bottles were hung.
    All shots of course!

    Tequilla tree

The tequilla tree was located on Park Avenue, also known to some as Agave Blvd. The tree was behind slip #6.

The first tequilla bottle was hung by some of the mates from North Carolina. It became a ritual once the tequilla bottle was finished while drinking tequilla slammers. It is an unsettled dispute as to who put the first bottle on the tree. The dacron that was used to hang the bottle came off of the Reel Quick.

Many, many colorful fishing characters now spread all over the World, have great memories of that tequilla tree.

Also that location became the start and finish line for the anual bike race that was held during Easter week.
