    pressurized live wells

Hi Gang!, I am trying to get on the fast learning curve here, I understand the idea is to fill the live well to the top with a clear lid fastened down, allowing for some water to escape causing the "pressure" and this make the bait live longer and healthier, can anyone further shed light on this?

    Thanks

The idea is to eliminate all the water at the top of the well and thereby the sloshing as the boat moves. With no air space, the water moves much less, beating up the baits less. Most of the Contenders and Regulators I've seen have gasketet lids to avoid leaking and adjust the pumps/outflows to keep it full to the top. When they slow down and start fishing they turn it down so they don't spill out when they open the lid.
