Prefishing The WMO with Peace Marvel

Well it all started when Peace called Dare Marina and needed a GB to use in the WMO. After some thought we/my cousin Matt said yes and it was pre fishing last week. Started looking at the 100 mile radius and took off to Baltimore canyon and scratched out a skippy and 60lb yellowfin. Thursday we ventured into the Washington and nailed a 60lb White along with a 55lb yellowfin. I did manage to catch a 15-20 Barracuda, pretty neat but not what we were looking for. Friday, we started in the Washington and ran down to the Norfolk tip(used 177 out of 180 gallons of gas and entered to the inlet at 9:30pm). Nada, but we did have a blue wacking our baits. Sunday we were looking for Bluefin and fished Massys and Jackspot without any luck. Monday they fished the tournament and landed an 80lb yellowfin, no billfish found. Wow, what a week, I might end up filling in for my cousin Matt Friday, looks like the weather will be a bit touchy throughout the week. We had a great time with Peace, he is a nice guy and extremely knowledgeable about tuna. It seems they have a great fishery in Venice, La and his friend Paul kept shaking his head saying the Atlantic sucks and they are spoiled rotten down there. I must give it up the the guys that fish out of Ocean City! They have one helluva run to the canyons. We are spoiled fishing out of Oregon Inlet with the 35 mile run.
