    Pliers

    Can someone give me the run down of pliers. right now i am using long SS needle nose pliers, what alternatives do you all use i am considering xtools but i havent heard any reviews of them yet

    Although I have used a variety of pliers, I always go back to basic stainless steel needlenose pliers such as Craftsman or Channel Lock brand for most of my fishing applications. It's really about what you are most comfortable with I believe. Try some and see which ones you like best.

    Xtools are pliers that you want to give your kid.. That is all I can really say about those. The cutters will eventually rust and its kinda easy to flatten out the teeth of the pliers. However, I did drop them offshore once and thank God they float.

    Spend like ten extra dollars and get; I believe they are called Krok "Billfisher" pliers. Of course they aren't going to float but what I did was; Drill a small hole and insert a key ring or something and you can attach a coil lanyard to the pliers to your jeans

    the kroks look good, what size do you have and where did you get them

    how easily do they grip a hook (the jaw doesn't look all that wide)
